About Wendel White:
Wendel A. White was born in Newark, New Jersey. He received a BFA in photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York and an MFA from the University of Texas at Austin. White is currently Distinguished Professor of Art at Stockton University in New Jersey.
A recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, a photography fellowship from En Foco Inc. and three artist fellowships from the New Jersey State Council for the Arts.
His work is represented in museums libraries, corporate, and private collections and included in numerous publications including Manifest and Small Towns, Black Lives.
White has served on the board of directors for the Society for Photographic Education, the Atlantic City Historical Museum, New Jersey Black Culture and Heritage Foundation, and the New Jersey Council for the Humanities.

About Mildred Howard:
Mildred Howard is an artist, activist, teacher, mother and grandmother, born and raised in the Bay Area. Known for her sculptural installations and mixed-media assemblage work, Howard has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the Adeline Kent Award, the Joan Mitchell Foundation and a fellowship from the California Arts Council.
