Join renowned photographer Linda Connor for an exclusive four-weekend workshop designed for aspiring photographers looking to elevate their craft to new heights. Admission is selective, ensuring that participants share a similar level of artistic maturity and technical skill, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. While the workshop is not intensive, it is thoughtfully structured to challenge and inspire, allowing for deep exploration and growth.
Over the course of four weekends, you’ll engage in immersive sessions that blend creative exploration with practical advice, helping you shape your vision, hone your technique, and set a clear path for your future in photography. Whether you’re looking to build a compelling portfolio, embark on a new project, or seek professional advice, this workshop will provide the tools and insights you need to succeed.

WORKSHOP APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
To ensure a cohesive and enriching experience, participation in this workshop is based on an acceptance process. Applicants are required to submit the following materials:
Short Bio
A brief biography highlighting your background, influences, and any relevant experience in photography or related fields.Practice History & Path

A concise statement summarizing the project you are currently working on. This should include the central theme or concept, the content of the work, and any ideas you have regarding the final form of the project, such as an exhibition, book, or mixed media presentation.Project Description
A detailed description of your project in its current form. Discuss its content, development, and any preconceived ideas you have about its final form. This section should provide a clear understanding of the project’s direction and potential outcomes.8-10 Images of Work in Progress
A selection of 8-10 images showcasing your project in its current state. These images should reflect the core of your work, illustrating your creative process and the direction in which your project is evolving.
The Image Flow is graciously offering a special discount on paper printing for workshop participants should you need to print your images in preparation for the workshop. Further information provided upon registration.
INSTRUCTOR
LINDA CONNOR
Linda Connor has had a long and distinguished career in photography and has traveled extensively to produce her work to places such as India, Turkey, Peru, Iceland, and Southeast Asia. Connor received her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and her Masters from the Institute of Design, IIT, Chicago. In 1969 she joined the photography faculty at the San Francisco Art Institute where she has taught for 53 years. A recipient of, among other awards, the National Endowment for the Arts grant (1994, 1988, 1976), a Guggenheim Fellowship (1979) and the Flintridge Foundation Award for Visual Arts (2001-02), Connor was recognized with the Society of Photographic Education’s Honored Educator Award in 2005. Connor is the founder of the nonprofit, PhotoAlliance. She is represented by the Haines Gallery, San Francisco and has published the monographs Odyssey, 2008, with Chronicle Books, San Francisco, and Constellations and Linda’s Ornaments, with Datz Press, Korea, 2021.

Parking
The Image Flow building is in the old Tamalpais Theater building, and you will see the theater marquee as you approach The Flow on Sir Francis Drake.
There is a parking lot in the back of our building that participants are welcome to use. It can be accessed via Smith Lane.
Food
An hour break will be given for lunch each day. There are numerous restaurants nearby or, pack a bag lunch to eat in the park across the street!

The Image Flow aims to celebrate photography in all its forms and to provide a platform for photographers of all levels to create work, exchange ideas, and to innovate the medium of photography. Our staff and instructors are deeply engaged with photographic practice in their daily lives and bring that same dedication to our space each day.
